Gay Pride Week 1979 Brochure/Souvenir programme

This June marks 54 years since the Stonewall Riots. In 1979 the 10 year anniversary was commemorated in London at Gay Pride Week. Wanting to 'entertain, inform' and 'involve', numerous events were hosted including a picnic in Hyde Park, a workshop on ‘Police, courts & the law’ and a 'Grand Stonewall Ball'.

Collected by our late friend and comrade Chris Richardson who also filmed the event and kept posters and badges of the day.
